Job summary

OCS Ireland is recruiting for a Hospitality Supervisor to join our team at IDA 3PP Hatch Street Upper, Dublin 2. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standard of food quality, presentation and service at all times.

Role includes Monday-Friday day shift (8hrs flexible). You will recruit staff, provide training, monitor performance, maintain hygiene standards and support events as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum experience in a hospitality supervisory role.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service.
  • Reliability with excellent time-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit appropriately skilled staff and manage right-to-work checks in Ireland.
  • Assess staff performance and identify training needs.
  • Deliver training in location to meet company policy.
  • Maintain standards of duties and service quality.
  • Attend training sessions and catering meetings when required.
  • Ensure smooth, efficient running of the section and lead by example.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers to defined standards.
  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and equipment in service areas.
  • Assist in front-of-house during peak periods and events.
  • Support unit manager for supervision of special events and functions.
  • Ensure correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and company uniform at all times.
  • Represent company image in a positive manner and promote health & safety policies.

About The Role:

Job Responsibilities
  • To help to recruit appropriately skilled employees, ensuring their right to work within the Ireland in accordance with company recruitment procedures.
  • To make a continuous assessment of the performance of all staff under your supervision in order to establish training needs and development potential
  • To ensure that training is carried out in the location to meet identified needs and requirements of the Company training policy.
  • To ensure that all staff under your supervision are aware of their duties and the standards required
  • To attend training sessions and catering meetings when required
  • To take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the section/s as appropriate
  • To motivate and lead by example
  • Service of food and/or beverages to customers to the standards set by OCS.
  • Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
  • Preparation of service area and/or service points.
  • Assist in the service at all times within the Department as requested, including front of house duties during busy periods.
  • Support/Cover the Unit manager for the supervision of special events (evening functions etc..)
  • Correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
  • Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations at all times.
  • To present an image at all times conducive to good customer relations.
  • Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy.
  • Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s Food safety policy.
  • The job description may be altered from time to time to meet the changing needs and requirements of the company.
  • To help monitoring and ordering all necessary dry goods and equipment
Qualifications/Skills
  • Self-Motivated
  • Well organised and ability to work on his/her own
  • High personal standards and attention to detail
  • Experience in a similar role essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP
  • Keen interest in developing food preparation skills and culinary knowledge
  • Excellent time keeping and reliability
