Job Description
We are now looking for full time Homecare Support Workers, to join our Team. You will be employed directly on a full time basis and employed by Good People Homecare Ltd. You will be assigned to a specific location in Navan, or Trim Co. Meath and our Head office in Dunshaughlin Co. Meath.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment whilst working with an experienced team of Healthcare Professionals in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.

Job Responsibility:
  • Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to our residents.
  • Ensuring clients hygiene/personal care needs are maintained to the highest standards while maintaining the resident's dignity at all time.
  • Assisting clients with eating and drinking in line with their nutrition needs.
  • Assisting clients with mobilising as appropriate and using correct aids.
  • Escorting or/and transfer clients as directed by the Nursing staff.
  • Assisting in End of Life Care.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by nurse and management.
Requirements:
  • QQI/FETAC qualification in Healthcare OR Pre-nursing OR relative experience in a similar environment and willingness to complete QQI level 5 (8 modules).
  • Practical experience in a caring capacity desired.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Professional, caring and empathetic nature.
  • Be comfortable working in a sometimes, challenging environment.
Candidate Requirements:

Essential: Minimum Experience Required (Years): 1 Desirable, Minimum Qualification: QQI Level 5 (including Leaving Certificate/ Leaving Certificate Applied/ Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme) OR Ability Skills: Communications, Manual, Personal/Social Care Competency Skills: Flexibility, Problem Solving, Teamwork

Hours per week: 39 hours per week

References must cover the last 5 years of employment.

For Healthcare Assistants (HCAs): A reference from a Nurse Manager with clinical and supervisory oversight is mandatory. International Police Clearance: Required if you have lived or worked outside of the UK, ROI, or NI for 6 months or more since age 16. The clearance must: Be dated after your departure from the country. Cover the full duration of your stay.
