Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd is recruiting a Medical Scientist – Histology for a hospital in Dublin, Ireland. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary laboratory team.

You will develop and maintain laboratory procedures, support quality assurance, and contribute to new technologies while ensuring compliance with INAB, JCI and hospital policies. The ideal candidate will have histology experience, membership of ACSLM or CORU, and at least one year of in-service training,

Qualifications

• Membership of ACSLM, CORU or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of in-service training in relevant laboratory disciplines.
• Histology experience with Cut-Up experience considered an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of modern laboratory practices, QA/AC accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, maintaining and implementing laboratory procedures and best-practice standards.
• Perform laboratory duties in line with INAB, JCI and professional standards, prioritising workload.
• Support quality management programs including QA/QC, audits and non-conformance reporting.
• Assist with stock management, equipment monitoring and health and safety.
• Participate in staff training, development and adoption of new laboratory technologies.
• Support LIS use and data presentation for departmental activity and expenditure.
• Maintain professional communication and teamwork within the laboratory and hospital.
