Job summary

ESB, Ireland’s leading energy utility, is seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to repair, maintain and inspect vehicles and plant equipment in line with legislation, policies and manufacturer guidance. You will carry out tasks safely, test and certify equipment, and work with the Lead Mechanic and Fleet Supervisor to meet business objectives.

A recognised Mechanical apprenticeship and Level 6 qualification with FAS/Solas, plus a full clean EU driving licence (B) and at least 3 years’ experience

Qualifications

• Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship
• Advanced Level 6 Craft accreditation or higher with FAS/Solas
• Full clean EU driving licence (B)

Responsibilities

• Maintenance up-keep and repair of HGV & LGV vehicles and equipment
• Certification of hoists and cranes
• Complete work to high standards in line with legislation and report defects
• Work safely and contribute to team development
• Carry out testing and certification of vehicles and equipment
• Maintain knowledge and skills for full range of duties in an environmentally friendly manner
• Work as part of a team or on own initiative to meet business objectives
