Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is seeking a capable Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Ireland. You will perform planned and corrective mechanical maintenance on fleet vehicles, and prepare units for MOT tests. The role requires hands-on diagnostics, repairs, and safe operation of workshop tools.

Experience with HGV or plant equipment, and a valid Class 1 licence is preferred. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure reliability and high safety standards across our

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• HGV or plant maintenance experience.
• Class 1 licence preferable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Experience with hydraulic systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.
• Assist with apprenticeship training.

Skills

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

HGV/Plant maintenance experience

Class 1 licence (preferable)

Tools & diagnostic equipment use
