Job summary

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or time served.
• Minimum 2 years experience as an HGV mechanic.
• Thorough understanding of the mechanical and electrical systems of HGVs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Repair, servicing and maintenance of HGVs.
• Conducting regular inspections of HGVs to identify faults or issues.
• Carrying out repairs to engines and other components of HGVs.
• Conducting pre-CVRT inspections and preparing vehicles for CVRT.
• Completing accurate and timely records of work undertaken and parts used.
• Liaising with other members of the team to ensure efficient running of the workshop.
• Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with health and safety regulations.
