Job summary

Padraig Thornton Waste Disposal Limited t/a Thorntons Recycling is recruiting experienced HGV drivers to join our transport team in Dublin. The successful candidate will operate heavy goods vehicles for the collection, transport and delivery of recyclable materials and waste to designated facilities.

Applicants must hold a valid HGV licence, up-to-date CPC certification, and have at least three years of heavy vehicle driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV driving licence and up-to-date CPC certification.
• Minimum of three years' experience driving heavy goods vehicles.
• Good written and spoken English is required.
• Adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy goods vehicles for collection, transport and delivery of recyclable materials and waste.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure loads are secured.
• Complete required documentation and liaise with customers and site personnel.

Job Description

Padraig Thornton Waste Disposal Limited t/a Thorntons Recycling is currently recruiting experienced HGV Drivers to join our transport team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy goods vehicles in the collection, transport, and delivery of recyclable materials and waste from commercial and industrial customers to designated processing facilities. The role includes carrying out daily vehicle checks, ensuring loads are secured appropriately, completing required documentation, and liaising with customers and site personnel where necessary. The ideal candidate must hold a valid HGV driving licence, up-to-date CPC certification, and have a minimum of three years' experience driving heavy goods vehicles. Candidates must demonstrate safe driving practices, maintain their vehicle to a high standard, work both independently and as part of a team, and adhere strictly to company health and safety policies and procedures at all times. A good level of written and spoken English is required for this role.
