Job summary

Choice Stores in Ashbourne, Co. Meath is seeking a reliable HGV driver to join our expanding team. This role involves daily deliveries and collections as part of our distribution centre operations, with flexibility on start times and weekend work.

This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, with ongoing training and employee benefits including Cycle to Work, staff discounts and more.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence
• C driving licence held for minimum 1 year
• Valid Drivers CPC and Digital tachograph card
• Familiar with Irish roads network
• Good communication skills in English
• Previous multi-drop experience and customer service oriented
• Manual handling and forklift certification desirable

Responsibilities

• Be flexible with start times
• Work as part of a team
• Complete daily vehicle check sheets
• Make on-time deliveries and collections daily
• Ability to unload and load vehicle
• Work on your own initiative
• Maintain and return all paperwork for deliveries/collections
• Picking of orders
• General warehouse work
• Any other tasks as directed by Line Manager

Due to Company expansion we are currently recruiting for a HGV driver to join our team in Ashbourne, Co. Meath. As part of the duties you would be expected to work in our distribution centre also.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Be flexible in relation to start times
• To work as part of a team
• Completing Daily Vehicle Check Sheets
• To make on time deliveries and collections daily
• Ability to unload and load vehicle
• To be able to Work on your own initiative
• Maintain & return all paperwork associated with deliveries/collections
• Picking of orders
• General warehouse work
• Any other tasks delegated from your Line Manager

To apply for this position Drivers must meet the following criteria:

• Full Clean Drivers' License
• Have held a full C license for a minimum of 1 year
• Valid Drivers CPC and Digital card required
• Be familiar with the Irish Roads network
• Good communicate skills and ability to communicate in spoken English
• Previous multi drop experience and an excellent customer service attitude
• Manual handing and Forklift cert desirable

Licence:

• B Full driving licence required
• C Driving License required
• CE driving License preferential

Other:

• This is a full time 40 hours per week permanent role
