Job summary

The Office of Public Works invites applications for the role of Craft Stonemason and Stonecutter in the Mallow National Monuments District. The role focuses on on-site conservation and restoration of historic stonework and structures.

Ideal candidates will hold a Level 5 Stonemasonry qualification or an Advanced Certificate in the craft, plus a current Safe Pass and a valid driving licence with own transport. Experience in stonework and reading drawings is valued.

Qualifications

• Full, clean driving licence with own transport.
• Current Safe Pass card.
• Employment permit for non-EEA nationals, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conservation and restoration on site.
• Repair/build stonework, walls and mortars.
• Read drawings and set out masonry works; mentor Apprentices; ensure Health & Safety requirements.
