Job summary

Bluebird Care Dublin North is hiring Healthcare Assistants to provide in-home care across Dublin North locations. Part-time and full-time contracts are available, with a requirement to have the right to work in Ireland.

Applicants should be kind, empathetic, and capable of delivering Bluebird Care standards in clients' own homes. Training, support, and a caring team environment are emphasized to help you grow in your healthcare career.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in clear and compassionate communication.
• Ability to work independently and in home settings.
• Willingness to complete required QQI modules if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks in their homes (washing, dressing, toileting).
• Support mobility and transfers for clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support and prompt medication reminders.
• Carry out light household duties (tidying, laundry, etc.).
• Promote client independence and dignity at all times.
• Report health concerns to the office promptly and document visit notes.
• Maintain accurate care updates and notes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
• Preparing meals and supporting with feeding if required
• Providing companionship and emotional supportSupporting medication prompts/reminders
• Carrying out light household duties (tidying, laundry, etc.)
• Promoting client independence and dignity at all times
• Reporting concerns or changes in health to the office promptly
• Accurately recording visit notes and care updates

You must have:

• Good spoken and written English is essential
• Previous work experience in Ireland is essential
• Flexibility to work every second weekend.
• Evening and weekend availability (preferred)
• 2 QQI Level 5 modules (Care Skills/Healthcare Support and Care of the Older Person)

OR

• 1+ year of HCA experience and a willingness to complete the modules.
