Job summary

CPL HealthCare is currently recruiting HealthCare Assistants in South Dublin. We welcome both experienced and inexperienced candidates who are positive, caring and reliable, with a commitment to quality elderly care and supporting residents to maintain independence.

Qualifications

• Healthcare/social care related qualification OR relative experience.
• Availability to work varied shifts days/nights/weekends across Mon-Sun.
• Practical experience in a caring capacity desirable.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional, caring and empathetic nature.
• Comfortable working in a challenging environment.
• Experience in elderly care is desirable.
• Newly graduated HealthCare Assistants are welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents promoting independence and dignity per care plan.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents and families.
• Adhere to confidentiality policy at all times.
• Ensure resident safety at all times.
• Deliver high quality care: personal care, toileting, movement and transfers.
• Communicate changes or concerns in resident needs/care.
• Follow Health & Safety and infection control regulations.
• Maintain a safe, peaceful and comfortable environment for all.

General Responsibilities:

• Provide care to residents ensuring their independence is promoted and that residents’ dignity is maintained at all times. This will involve following your clients care plan – assistance with personal care and mobility.
• Developing and maintaining good relationships with residents and their families.
• Adhering to confidentiality policy at all times.
• Ensuring resident safety at all times.
• Deliver high quality care and assistance to our residents – personal care, toileting, moving & transferring.
• Communicate any changes or concerns in relation to resident needs/care.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Infection Prevention and Control regulations.
• Assisting in maintaining a physical environment that is safe, peaceful, and comfortable for all residents and employees alike.
