Manor Homecare is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our team delivering person-centred care across our Bray, Ashford, Greystones and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes helping clients stay independent at home, with mobility support, meal prep, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.

Qualifications

• Full, clean driving license required.
• Own car preferred.
• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or relevant modules) preferred.
• Experience in healthcare/home care setting is advantageous.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Empathetic and flexible to deliver high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients according to care plans.
• Assist with personal care, dressing, washing, toileting and mobility.
• Provide companionship and support independence and well-being.
• Help with meal preparation and light household tasks.
• Assist with rehabilitation exercises and safe transfers.
• Document care activities and report changes to supervisors.
• Support care coordinators with shift coverage and PPE delivery.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility in their work schedules while delivering outstanding care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients by performing general healthcare assistant duties in line with client care plans and business needs.
• Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, washing, toileting, and mobility support.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging independence and well-being.
• Support with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry.
• Assist with rehabilitation exercises and moving clients safely using mobility aids.
• Accurately document care activities and report any changes in client condition.
• Support Care Coordinators with covering in cases of sick leave, annual leave, or emergency call coverage.
• Assist Supervisors with delivery of PPE and equipment as required by the business.
• Support Quality Officers as needed to ensure compliance with care standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control, and fire safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Full, clean driving license.

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or relevant modules) preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
