Job summary

Aurora is hiring Care Assistants to join our team in Kilkenny. You will support individuals with intellectual disabilities to live enriched, independent lives in their own homes, with person-centred care and community involvement.

We offer permanent contracts, competitive pay with weekend and bank holiday premiums, and flexibility for shifts. Applicants must have QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support and a full Irish driving licence to drive Aurora vehicles.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (all 8 modules completed).
• Experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities is welcome.
• Full Irish driving licence and willingness to drive Aurora vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support for individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily activities.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, toileting and feeding as needed.
• Facilitate social outings, community engagement and recreational activities.
• Support household management including meals and a safe, clean environment.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualised care plans.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Availability for flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
