Job summary

Comfort Homecare, a leading Home Support Provider, is seeking dedicated Home Support Workers across Ireland. Roles involve delivering high-quality personal and emotional care, following care plans, and traveling to clients’ homes.

A valid driving licence with access to a vehicle is required, along with QQI Level 5 HealthCare Support or Level 7 Social Care qualification and minimum two years’ relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable role.
• Good command of the English language.
• Must be a driver with access to a vehicle.
• QQI Level 5 HealthCare Support or equivalent QQI level 7 qualification applicable to the role.
• Full Clean Driver’s Licence.
• Experience of Personal care including Infection prevention and control.
• Epilepsy Training.
• MAPA/Behavioural support training advantageous.
• At least 2 years’ experience supporting individuals with a disability/care of the older person in a health or social care setting.
• Licence/Certification: Certificate in Care Skills or Healthcare Support (required) Full Clean Driver’s Licence (required)

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of emotional, social and personal care to clients.
• Adhere to Comfort Home Care policies.
• Accurate record-keeping and writing detailed reports.
• Continuous training and upskilling applicable to the role.
• Implement the client’s care plan.
• Provide practical and emotional support to clients in a professional manner.
• Travelling to and from Clients houses to provide personal care.
