Job summary

Job description

Red Chair Recruitment are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Officer to join our team, overseeing projects across Dublin and the greater Leinster region.

The successful candidate will promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on all developments. This is a permanent position based mainly in Dublin, a full driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, monitor, and review company Health & Safety policies and site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Ensure compliance with current health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and training to site teams.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
  • Liaise with site managers, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain safe work environments.
  • Maintain accurate health and safety records, documentation, and reporting systems.
  • Support continuous improvement of safety standards across all projects.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through engagement and leadership.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health and safety role, specifically in construction or property development.
  • Relevant Health & Safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Full clean driving licence.
