Vickerstock are working in partnership with a national residential construction firm on the appointment of a Health & Safety Graduate.

In your new role:
- Work as part of the construction management team to help ensure a safe and productive work environment
- Support the continuous improvement of Health & Safety standards, both within the management system and on-site
- Monitor and enforce compliance with the company's Health & Safety Management System
- Identify site-specific hazards and ensure they are captured within documentation and addressed practically on site
- Maintain site folders and statutory records, ensuring they are up to date and accurate
- Assist site management in meeting statutory Health & Safety requirements
- Support the development and implementation of risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Assist with contractor compliance monitoring and coordination of safe working practices
- Carry out Health & Safety site audits and support site management in addressing any non-conformances
- Contribute to accident and incident investigations, helping to identify root causes and corrective actions
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of toolbox talks and safety communications
What you will need to succeed:
- A 3rd level qualification in Health & Safety (or a related discipline)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present clear findings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach
- A team player with the ability to engage confidently with people at all levels
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative
- Willingness to take responsibility for designated tasks and contribute proactively to site safety
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
- Previous work experience in a Health & Safety related role (e.g. placement or site experience)
- Experience delivering or contributing to training or toolbox talks
