Job summary

Laya Healthcare is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to join our People & Culture team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role focuses on maintaining and improving health and safety management systems across the organisation, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice standards.

You will lead risk assessments, incident reporting, training and governance, while promoting a safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety role in an office environment.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, incident reporting and inspections.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Safety Statement, risk assessments, policies and procedures.
• Chair Health & Safety Committee meetings and support reps.
• Manage fire safety arrangements and emergency planning.
• Deliver health and safety inductions and awareness programmes.
• Produce monthly Health & Safety reports with KPIs.
