Zusammenfassung

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to cover sites in Wexford, Skerries, Asbourne, City Centre or South Dublin. You will report to the Health and Safety Manager and uphold health and safety standards across construction activities and project sites.

The role involves reviewing risk assessments, delivering inductions, investigating incidents and ensuring training and PPE compliance. A strong HSQE background and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifikationen

• A relevant third-level qualification in Health and Safety.
• 3-5 years' experience in a Health and Safety Advisor role.
• Experience with HSQE standards and management systems.
• Ability to conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of construction health and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Review and update risk assessments, safe operating procedures and safety statements.
• Deliver safety induction training for new employees and subcontractors with records maintained.
• Investigate, record and report accidents, incidents and near-misses with corrective actions implemented.
• Identify ongoing and new safety training requirements and ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure employees have access to and correctly use PPE.
• Review subcontractors' safety statements and safety compliance.
• Attend safety meetings and enforce Health and Safety Department policies.
• Provide relevant accident information for insurance purposes.

About Your New Job

Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager, you will help ensure that health and safety standards are maintained across construction activities and project sites.

• Regularly review and update company risk assessments, safe operating procedures and safety statements.
• Deliver safety induction training for new employees and subcontractors, while maintaining accurate documentary records.
• Investigate, record and report accidents, incidents and near-misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Identify ongoing and new safety training requirements, ensuring mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time.
• Ensure all relevant employees have access to and correctly use the required personal protective equipment.
• Review subcontractors' safety statements and safety compliance.
• Attend regular health and safety meetings and enforce Health and Safety Department policies.
• Provide relevant accident information for insurance purposes.

What Skills You Need

• 3-5 years' experience in a similar Health and Safety Advisor position.
