Job Description:

Health & Safety Advisor - Bon Secours, Limerick

Lead the implementation of a professional, competent, and knowledge-sharing culture across all sites, ensuring best-in-class health, safety, and environment practices are planned, implemented, and shared effectively. Develop, monitor, and enhance the Construction Stage Health & Safety Plan with the site team, ensuring all parties adhere through regular reviews and audits.

Note: This role is fully onsite Monday to Friday.

You will be:
  • Carrying out audits/inspections of Sisk workplaces at a frequency and intrusiveness coached by the BU HSE Manager.
  • Attending sites following accidents/incidents and assisting with investigations, especially in the absence of the Project Director or HSE Manager.
  • Assisting the HSE Manager in preparing health and safety reports for the BU MD.
  • Alerting the HSE Manager if there is a risk of inadequate cover for health and safety.
  • Supporting tender and prequalification teams with health and safety advice and practical solutions in the absence of the HSE Manager.
  • Participating in start-up meetings with your line manager and site teams, and supply chain meetings when requested.
  • Delivering appropriate training.
You will have:
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification preferred but not strictly required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • At least 3 years as a health and safety professional.
  • Experience with Temporary Works and Internal Auditing.
  • Organising skills, time management, and performance management experience.
