Job description

Due to continued growth and expansion in the Limerick area, Comfort Homecare is recruiting additional Health Care Assistants to support our team.

Driving is Essential

We offer the most competitive rates, starting at €15 per hour. Higher rates apply on Sundays. We also pay €10 for half-hour calls plus a travel allowance of 41c per km. Additional benefits are provided.

We are seeking Healthcare Assistants, both part-time and full-time, in the Limerick area to help clients remain safely and happily in their own homes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company that values its staff highly.

The successful candidate must:

• Hold QQI Level 5 in Care Skills and Care of the Elderly
• Be fully reliable and dependable
• Possess a full clean driver's license and own vehicle
• Be flexible and have a positive attitude
• Have a caring and kind disposition, providing person-centered care
• Possess good communication and practical skills
• Have some experience and training (desirable)
• Be available for weekend and evening work

Role responsibilities include:

• Providing high standards of emotional, social, and personal care
• Adhering to company policies
• Maintaining accurate records
• Participating in ongoing training and upskilling
• Implementing individual care plans
• Offering practical and emotional support professionally

Job details:

• Type: Part-time / Full-time
• Hours: 18-40 per week
• Schedule includes day shifts, evening shifts, weekends, and flexible hours

Experience required:

• At least 1 year as a Healthcare Assistant

Certifications:

• Care Skills or Healthcare Support certificate (desirable)
• Full clean driver's license (required)
