Your new company

Your new company has a proven track record of successful delivery of sustainable critical environments and construction projects across Ireland, with a portfolio that includes global data centre clients, commercial offices, and innovative infrastructure solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their high-performing project teams in Dublin.

Your new role

You will report to the Health and Safety Manager and be responsible for establishing, developing, and directing the implementation of the Health and Safety strategy on projects while ensuring that a positive safety culture is maintained and that the company is established as an industry leader in health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with the operational team and support the development and monitoring of safe systems of work and risk assessments to ensure all project activities are adequately planned and executed.
  2. Auditing and reporting: ensuring projects are audited; H&S indices are tracked, and non-conformances are addressed.
  3. Lead and influence H&S culture across projects.
  4. Support and engage the workforce in identifying occupational health, safety, and environmental risks and coach them in risk mitigation.
  5. Ensure projects operate in compliance with all statutory requirements and best practices.
  6. Highlight and advise on health and safety-related issues from pre-construction to project completion.
  7. Attend start-up meetings with site teams and actively participate.
  8. Provide advice, guidance, and instruction on all health and safety matters to management, safety representatives, and employees (including subcontractors where appropriate).
  9. Conduct regular inspections and site audits, report findings to site and senior management, and ensure follow-up actions are dealt with promptly.
What you'll need to succeed
  • A degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • 3+ years' experience working on large-scale commercial/construction projects.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Conscientious, highly focused, and detail-oriented.
  • Self-starter with the ability to build relationships with all stakeholders.
  • A full clean driving license is preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
