Job summary

Solutions Driven, a respected consultancy in South West Ireland, seeks a Health & Safety Consultant to lead site inductions, inspections, and audits across diverse construction, utilities, and general projects.

You will act as PSCS on projects, develop risk assessments and method statements, liaise with clients and contractors, and support safety management systems, with remote-first culture and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Health & Safety (Diploma or higher, or near completion).
• Solid understanding of Irish construction safety regulations and PSCS duties.
• 5 years+ experience as a Health & Safety Consultant or Safety Officer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver site inductions, inspections, and audits.
• Act as PSCS representative on projects.
• Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation.
• Liaise with clients and coordinate contractors.
• Support safety management systems and compliance.
• Mentoring and CPD opportunities.

Who We're Looking For

• 5 years+ experience as a Health & Safety Consultant or Safety Officer (experience in utilities or with an electrical/engineering background would be an excellent fit)
• Third-level qualification in Health & Safety (Diploma or higher, or near completion)
• Solid understanding of Irish construction safety regulations and PSCS duties
• Strong communication skills and willingness to travel across Cork

Bonus if you have:

• PSDP experience
• Delivered health & safety training
• Additional workplace safety certifications
