Job Description

Japanese kitchen recruiting a sushi chef. If you have relevant experience and are passionate about sushi making, we are looking forward to having you join us!

Key responsibilities and requirements include:

  • Minimum 5 years work experience in Japanese sushi making and ability to skilfully operate knives, prepare sushi rice and make various types of sushi.
  • Ability to handle a wide range of raw fish.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and available to work at the weekend.
  • High standards of food hygiene, health and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English. Ability to be part of the team work and demonstrate good cooperation behaviour.
  • Monitor food stock and place orders, with attention to waste control.
  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of sushi ingredients to ensure the freshness and high quality of the ingredients.
  • Participate in menu development and sushi innovation to provide novel and delicious sushi choices.
