Job summary

EirGrid Group seeks a Head of System Integrity to lead the Operations Chief Office and provide strategic and technical leadership for safe, secure and compliant operation of Ireland's transmission system.

The role reports to the Director of TSO Operations and oversees protection policy, settings, investigations and grid readiness, partnering with infrastructure teams to embed operational requirements across projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Strong knowledge of power system protection and operation.
• Experience in protection schemes design and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance and oversight of protection policy, settings, coordination and investigations.
• Ensure protection devices and schemes align with policy requirements with Transmission Asset Owner.
• Lead investigations of disturbances and translate lessons into policy and technical improvements.
• Oversee energisation and readiness activities for grid connections with safety compliance.
• Embed operational requirements across lifecycle of capital/connection projects.
• Manage revenue metering data feeds and data provision for Group codes and licences.
