Job summary

Avista is seeking a Head of Discipline - Physiotherapy in East Limerick for a 12-month period. The role requires CORU registration, a professional physiotherapy qualification, and at least five years’ pediatric experience.

Strong leadership and clinical supervision skills are essential to drive service quality and patient-centred care. You will lead multidisciplinary teams within a disability services framework, support clinical pathways, and work to uphold Avista’s values while promoting

• Current registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council).
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in physiotherapy with pediatric/children’s disability experience.

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

• Professional Physiotherapy Qualification from a recognized third level institution.
• Current registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council).
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in physiotherapy work with significant pediatric/children’s disability experience.
• Proven management or leadership experience in healthcare or disability services.
• Strong working knowledge of children’s disability services in Ireland.
• Experience working within Children’s Disability Network Teams or similar integrated service models.
• Experience of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary team working.
• Full Drivers Licence and use of own car.
• Permit to work in Ireland.
• Be self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
• Have an organisational commitment to lead through the Avista Core Values and vision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to successfully manage deadlines and teams.
• A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Experience in providing Clinical Supervision
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Postgraduate qualification in management / leadership.
• Knowledge of Policies and Procedures related to children’s disability services.
• Experience in quality improvement initiatives and clinical pathway development.
