Job summary

ComReg is seeking a Senior Head of Resilience to drive strategic risk-based security and resilience across Ireland and the EU. This role sits in the Cybersecurity and Resilience Regulation Division and leads expert guidance, audits, and CER/NIS2 obligations.

The successful candidate will manage a multi-disciplinary team, shape regulatory excellence, and represent ComReg in European workstreams, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Honours degree or higher in Cybersecurity, science, tech, or engineering.
• Proven senior experience in a regulatory/regulated cybersecurity environment.
• Experience applying risk and regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, DORA).
• Proven capability to lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity and resilience technical advice to stakeholders.
• Oversee complex cybersecurity and resilience inspections and audits for NIS2.
• Deliver CER directive functions including critical entities and national risk input.
• Govern ISMS and drive incident handling and post-incident supervision.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team of operational resilience, BCM, and GRC professionals.
• Represent ComReg in national and European groups as required.
