Job summary

CareChoice Group Ireland is seeking a Head Chef for our Montenotte care home in Cork. The successful candidate will manage the kitchen, lead and train staff, and ensure HACCP and high hygiene standards are maintained to deliver luxury dining for residents.

Experience in nursing home kitchens and with texture-modified foods is essential. You will mentor the team, work in a fast-paced setting, and contribute to an exceptional resident experience.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and production to the meal plan with dietary considerations.
• Work within household budgets and meet targets.
• Carry out regular stock takes; sourcing, screening and retaining suitable suppliers.
• Order goods using the purchase order system.
• Check incoming goods to verify quality and quantity.
• Allocation of duties and rostering.
• Responsibility for HACCP across mini-kitchens in the home.
