Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, is recruiting a Medical Scientist to join the Haematology Laboratory team at Naas General Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to advance their career within a acute hospital setting.

The Candidate will perform routine and specialized haematology and coagulation testing, interpret results, maintain analyzers, and supervise daily workflow in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Eligibility for ACSLM membership.
• Experience in Haematology or Blood Transfusion.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized haematology and coagulation laboratory testing accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with SOPs.
• Evaluate, interpret, and technically validate analytical results before reporting to clinical teams.
• Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and perform routine QC checks.
• Assist in planning, prioritizing, and supervising day-to-day workflow of the Haematology department.
