Job Title: Junior Clubhouse Supervisor
Department: Rooms Division
Responsible To: Guest Relations Manager / Rooms Division Manager
Main Purpose of Job: Ensures a safe, fun, and interactive environment for children using the Junior Clubhouse, with supervisory authority over the Junior Clubhouse Attendants.
Liaises with: Front Desk, Concierge, Attaché, Food and Beverage, Communications
MAIN DUTIES
- Arrive to work on time, appropriately groomed, and in the correct uniform.
- Maintain a log of children being checked in and out of the Junior Clubhouse.
- Prepare the Junior Clubhouse according to weekly care plans.
- Follow the Daily Schedule.
- Ensure all staff are trained on the Code of Behaviour and signed copies are forwarded to HR.
- Ensure the First Aid kit is fully stocked.
- Check all equipment regularly and remove any defective items.
- Ensure all forms containing personal data are transferred to the Department Manager's office for GDPR purposes and safekeeping.
- Conduct daily examinations of outdoor areas in line with Health and Safety requirements.
- Assist the Department Manager with staff scheduling—created by Thursday each week for the following week based on business needs.
- Address staff concerns with the Department Manager.
- Develop and implement appropriate activities for children.
- Supervise children at all times for safety and health concerns.
- Arrange and maintain the classroom environment.
- Maintain required materials and equipment in the Club. Notify the Manager of items that need repair or replacement.
- Participate in associate meetings as required.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and share knowledge gained.
- Serve as a role model for staff and children.
- Work as a team to establish goals.
- Notify security and complete incident reports for any accidents or injuries involving children, providing a signed copy to the Manager.
- Inform the Department Manager of operational changes or challenges.
- Keep count of children in the Junior Clubhouse.
- Maintain order among children.
- Assist children with restroom needs.
- Supervise snacks and refreshments, maintaining food stations per Health Department Codes.
- Ensure toys and games are clean and sanitary.
- Maintain spotless and sanitized toilets.
- Ensure children are supervised until signed out by a parent or guardian.
- Open and close the Junior Clubhouse on time, following procedures.
- Work varying schedules, including day, evening, or weekend shifts, as required by the business.
OTHER DUTIES
The above is not exhaustive; you may be asked to perform other duties as directed by management. Flexibility is required to undertake additional work outside normal duties.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
- Completed Tusla child protection course is an advantage; training will be provided if not already completed.
- All Junior Clubhouse staff are subject to Garda clearance.
- Previous customer service and childminding experience is an advantage.
- Positive, friendly, cheerful, and courteous attitude.
- Good organizational skills.
- Reliable and adaptable team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
