Job summary

Muckross Park Hotel & Spa in Killarney is seeking a Food and Beverage Assistant to join Monks Lounge and Yew Tree Restaurant. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining a welcoming dining environment, and supporting smooth service during lunch and dinner shifts.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a similar role, strong knowledge of HACCP, and good communication skills; flexibility and a positive team attitude are essential as part of a busy hospitality team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in a similar role.
• Experience in high-volume operations is advantageous.
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP.
• Understanding of Food and Beverage procedures.
• Flexible within the role.
• Good communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality service for lunch and dinner
• Maintain Lounge premises in neat, orderly condition
• Greet and seat guests with prompt, courteous service
• Provide guests with high-quality service
• Perform service duties of Monks Lounge (food, beverage, room service)
• Communicate with guests to personalise the service
• Ensure readiness and compliance among all team members
