Job description

Group Marketing Manager - Galway - Permanent

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Group Marketing Manager to oversee and unify the marketing efforts across a collection of hospitality venues in Galway. This role requires someone with solid experience in the sector, a sharp eye for detail, and a genuine appreciation for what makes great hospitality experiences memorable.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing plans that support each venue’s commercial goals and character.
  • Lead on the design, promotion, and delivery of events — from live entertainment and food-focused promotions to seasonal campaigns.
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure all marketing activity is timely, practical, and drives measurable results.
  • Manage all digital channels, including social media, email marketing, websites, and advertising campaigns.
  • Maintain and evolve each venue’s visual identity and tone of voice, ensuring brand consistency without losing individuality.
  • Build partnerships with local organisations, promoters, and media to increase visibility and footfall.
  • Monitor performance data, generate regular reports, and make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Lead and support a small in-house marketing team — setting direction, providing mentorship, managing workloads, and fostering professional growth.
  • Coordinate with external designers, photographers, and digital specialists.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior marketing role within hospitality, events, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record in creating, marketing, and managing events that attract a public audience.
  • Strong understanding of how hospitality brands connect with customers — in person, online, and in the local community.
  • Confident communicator, able to write clearly, brief others effectively, and present ideas to stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of digital tools including Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, email platforms, and basic website CMS systems.
  • Comfortable managing budgets, timelines, and competing priorities.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Galway hospitality scene.
  • Experience launching new venues or repositioning existing brands.
  • Skills in content creation, such as photography, design (e.g. Canva or Adobe), or video editing.
