About the Role
Are you an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with a passion for electrical safety, technical training, and mentoring the next generation of engineering talent?
We are seeking a Group Low Voltage Electrical Instructor to join an industry‑leading international engineering and construction contractor. Reporting to the Group Commissioning Support Manager, you will take full ownership of our LV Electrical Safe Principles training programme—driving electrical safety standards, compliance, and commissioning excellence across major European projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Training & Development: Design, update, and deliver world‑class Low Voltage Safe Principles training. Assess practical and theoretical candidate competence and support Authorised Persons through their development journey.
- Project Support & Auditing: Visit live, high‑value project sites across Europe to audit compliance with LV/MV operational procedures, LOTO, COHE, and company Safe Operating Procedures.
- Digital Commissioning: Serve as a CxDE (Commissioning Digital Environment) Super User, leveraging modern digital audit systems and updating Power BI competency dashboards.
- Safety & Continuous Improvement: Provide technical mentoring on‑site, continuously refine electrical safety procedures, and deliver site‑wide electrical awareness presentations.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineering qualification, recognised Authorised Person accreditation, and a Train the Trainer qualification (QQI or equivalent).
- Technical Background: 10+ years of experience operating as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with extensive experience managing Low & Medium Voltage systems.
- Industry Focus: Proven background in high‑complexity environments—Data Centres, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, or Mission Critical Infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Systems & Tools: Proficient with MS Office, Power BI reporting, and digital tools like BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud or CxDE platforms.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel to live construction and commissioning sites across Mainland Europe as required.
