A leading research university in Ireland is seeking junior and senior candidates for roles in Chromosome Biology to establish independent research groups with externally-funded fellowships. Successful applicants will receive comprehensive support for their Fellowship applications. This position offers a dynamic research environment and a permanent academic role upon securing funding.
The Centre for Chromosome Biology(CCB) at the University of Galway, Ireland is seeking excellent junior and senior candidates to be sponsored for establishing an independent research group with an externally-funded fellowship (e.g. ERC or Wellcome Trust Awards). The CCB is a cluster of groups working in the broad area of Chromosome Biology including cell cycle regulation, DNA repair and replication, gene regulation, chromosome segregation, genome organization and evolution. The CCB is a part of the Institute for Health Discovery & Innovation.
Successful candidates will have an outstanding track record in an area that is broadly aligned with the Centre’s research interests. They will be provided with comprehensive support for the preparation of their Fellowship applications. We strongly encourage female applicants to apply.

Assessment process
Candidates shortlisted for further consideration will hear from the selection committee within 1 month of the closing date and will be invited for an on-site seminar and interview.
