Job summary

A community service center in Ballyjamesduff is seeking a Grounds Person / Maintenance Worker to maintain the grounds and facilities. This is a developmental opportunity, no prior experience is needed as accredited training will be provided. You will be responsible for mowing lawns, weeding, and assisting in general maintenance tasks. The role requires 19.5 hours of work per week over 3 days. Ideal for candidates eligible for Community Employment positions.

Grounds Person / Maintenance Worker – CE Position – The Cavan Centre

The Cavan Centre, Kilnacrott, Ballyjamesduff, Co Cavan.

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more, or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of grounds and facilities – mowing lawns, trimming, weeding flower beds, etc.
• Painting/decorating and general maintenance with guidance by the head maintenance person.
• Work for 19.5 hours per week over 3 days at the Cavan Centre.
• Opportunity to gain workplace skills and health & safety training, and undertake accredited training aligned with career goals.
