Job summary

ENERCON Ireland is seeking a Grid Operations Engineer to be based in Tralee, Co. Kerry or within a weekly commutable distance.

The role involves authorising and supervising switching operations, ensuring HV/MV compliance, and supporting SCADA fault analysis on projects across Ireland. The ideal candidate holds an electrical qualification or degree, has at least four years wind turbine experience, and can travel nationally and abroad for training.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification or degree is essential.
• At least four years wind turbine experience is essential.
• Experience in SCADA monitoring and fault resolution is an advantage.
• Willingness to move to AE status within 6 months of start is desired.
• Good IT skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Authorise, supervise and perform switching operations as a Switching authorised dispatcher.
• Support in ensuring compliance with current legislation for HV electrical works in Ireland.
• Organise materials and labour to carry out repairs to MV/HV equipment.
• First level on fault analysis and technical support for SCADA.
