Job summary

Barna & Moycullen Vets in Galway is offering a Registered Veterinary Nurse - Graduate / Junior position. This full-time role supports new nurses in a busy small animal practice, with guided mentorship from a friendly team and a clear pathway to develop confidence and clinical skills.

You will work across consults, inpatient care, anaesthesia and surgical support, with 36 hours per week and occasional Saturday shifts. VCI registration is expected or due in 2026.

Qualifications

• Graduate or junior nurse starting out in practice.
• VCI registration expected or due in 2026.
• Keen to learn and develop practical nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Involved in consults, inpatient care, anaesthesia and surgical support including orthopaedics.
• Provide high quality patient care in a busy small animal practice.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure positive outcomes for pets and owners.
