Job summary

Edmundson Electrical in Limerick, Republic of Ireland, invites graduates to join as a Graduate Sales Trainee. You'll rotate through departments over 12 months, gain product and market knowledge, and start selling by month three with strong training support.

You’ll receive extensive on-the-job and professional sales training, with a clear path into external sales roles and long-term progression into senior sales and management positions.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the business, products, customers and market.
• Rotate through departments, including the warehouse and trade counter.
• Begin selling by around month three, targeting lapsed accounts and sourcing new business.
• Build relationships with customers and develop new business opportunities.
• Chase leads, negotiate and generate sales both over the phone and in person.
• Progress into an external sales role after around 12 months.
• Long-term opportunities to progress into senior sales and Profit Centre Management.

The Role

As a Graduate Sales Trainee, you’ll spend your first 12 months gaining exposure to different areas of the business, developing product and industry knowledge before progressing into an external, customer-facing sales role.

Your First 12 Months

First 6 months: Learn the business, products and market while rotating through different departments. You’ll begin selling from around month three and start your professional sales training.

6–12 months: Build your sales skills, generate revenue and develop your understanding of the full sales process while preparing for your move into external sales.

12 months+: Progress into a customer-facing external sales role, with further opportunities to develop into senior sales and management positions.
