Job summary

Ethos Engineering Ltd in Dublin invites graduates to join the Engineering Studio on a structured 18-month Graduate Programme. You will rotate across groups, gain hands-on experience in building services, and be mentored.

This role develops electrical design skills, prepares technical drawings, and exposes you to live client projects, with the aim of chartership and a rewarding career.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
  • Strong academic performance in electrical coursework.
  • Based in Ireland and able to attend Dublin office 3 days a week under hybrid model.
  • Placement, internship, or project experience in building services is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, life-safety, and low‑voltage systems.
  • Rotate across groups within the Engineering Studio to gain multidisciplinary project exposure.
  • Develop expertise in electrical engineering principles and apply them to real‑world design challenges.
  • Prepare accurate technical drawings, reports, and project documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN standards.
  • Visit project sites for inspections, installations, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable and energy‑efficient electrical solutions.

About the Programme

Ethos is excited to welcome graduates to our Graduate Programme. As an Electrical Engineer, you will join our Engineering Studio — a collaborative pool of engineers designed to give you hands‑on experience across multiple departments and projects. Through rotations across groups, you will broaden your technical knowledge, gain exposure to diverse building services disciplines, and be supported by both a mentor and a buddy.

Over an 18-month structured journey, you will complete technical, professional, and leadership training modules while contributing to live client projects. This programme is tailored to accelerate your development and set you on a clear path toward professional chartership and a rewarding career in building services.

Responsibilities

About You

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.

  • Strong academic performance in relevant electrical engineering coursework.

  • Must be based in Ireland and able to attend our Dublin office at least three (3) days per week under our hybrid model.

  • Previous placement, internship, or project experience in building services is beneficial but not required.

Candidate Attributes

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit MEP (exposure to BIM modelling is advantageous).

  • Knowledge of electrical design principles, such as load calculations, power systems, and lighting design.

  • Awareness of CIBSE, IEC, and Irish building regulations.

  • Interest in sustainable engineering and low‑carbon design.

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Eagerness to adapt, learn, and embrace new technologies and engineering tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work.

  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and passion for innovation.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
