Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in Ireland to contribute to sustainable, high‑performing buildings. You will gain hands‑on experience, work within multidisciplinary teams from concept through delivery, and develop skills in HVAC design, building services, and low‑carbon strategies.

You’ll participate in design reviews, technical submissions, and site visits while benefiting from mentoring and structured training programs to launch your engineering career.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or bachelor’s degree in one of the listed engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with BIM methodologies and digital project delivery.
• Interest in sustainable and low‑carbon building design.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of mechanical building services systems for a wide range of projects.
• Assist in the design and specification of HVAC systems.
• Develop engineering calculations, reports, drawings and technical specifications.
• Use digital engineering tools and BIM processes to support project delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, structural, electrical engineers and other specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in site visits, surveys, inspections and design reviews.
• Assist with project coordination, quality assurance and technical submissions.
• Develop professional skills through mentoring and structured training programmes.
