Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to execute engineering and design activities on large projects across Ireland. You will conduct design reviews, support procurement and quality processes, and help ensure on-time delivery, safety, and compliance with project standards.

Working within a vibrant, agile team, you’ll develop your technical skills through hands-on design work, BIM coordination, and documentation management while contributing to ongoing projects

Qualifications

• Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer with a focus on delivering engineering and design activities.
• Assist in design reviews and project engineering to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Support procurement, quality processes and documentation for design deliverables.
• Attend biweekly technical meetings with design team, subcontractors and project engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist and conduct the mechanical engineering and design activities on the project.
• Support mechanical package owners.
• Ensure the design management process is followed on the project by taking on direct responsibility.
• Read and understand EHS Plan and promote safe systems of work.
• Assist in the production of pre-qualification packs and RFQs for equipment and design services.
• Develop and update procurement & design tracker with project planner and ensure status progression.
