The Role

Graduate Intrinsic Reliability Engineer

The Team

The Intrinsic Reliability (iRel) Group is responsible for ensuring Product/Process Lifetime Robustness. This is achieved by investigating the intrinsic reliability of semiconductor devices/circuits and sensors. The iRel Group is made up of a range of engineering disciplines including electronics, physics and mathematics. The group is split across two locations namely, ADLK (Limerick, Ireland) and ADSV (San Jose, CA). The successful candidate will reside in ADLK.

The Position

The position to be filled is for an Intrinsic Reliability Engineer with knowledge in semiconductor device physics and maths. The engineer will be responsible for characterizing novel technologies such as digital isolators, MEMS, and magnetic sensors through device reliability testing.

Responsibilities
  • Reliability testing of semiconductor devices utilizing industry standard testing and development of new stress tests and techniques.
  • Development of statistical lifetime models to evaluate technology robustness.
  • Collaboration with failure analysis and process/product development teams to localize failures.
  • Attendance at industry leading device/circuit reliability conferences and adoption of industry State-of-the-Art best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics/Material Science or related field (minimum requirement).
  • Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and reliability engineering.
  • Experience of semiconductor manufacturing techniques considered a bonus.
  • Experience with Python/JMP for modelling of lifetime data considered a bonus.
  • Strong teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills are essential coupled with a demonstrated ability to work at a high level of performance both independently and as part of a team.
