Job description
Overview

KOSTAL IRELAND GmbH, is a global manufacturing business which manufactures electronic devices for the automotive industry. With over 700+ highly skilled people on our team here in Ireland, located in Abbeyfeale in Limerick and Mallow in Cork.

Purpose

Provide support for new and ongoing test development projects. Provide test engineering support to production as necessary. Test program development and debug.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up of new test equipment and implementation in production.
  • Develop new test programs for upcoming new products.
  • Test and evaluate new equipment to help improve test methods in KOSTAL Ireland.
  • Monitoring and reviewing of yields across production lines and the recommendation and implementation of yield improvements.
  • Regular monitoring and reviewing of cycle times across all production lines and the recommendation andimplementation of cycle time improvements.
  • Control of software using version control software.
  • Development and implementation of new innovation projects.
  • Investigate and implement potential test time reductions and process optimisation.
  • Verification of test coverage on KOI products.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Programming skills. Visual Basic software knowledge an advantage. Other software knowledge also advantageous.
  • Functional test, ICT, AOI, flash programming knowledge an advantage.
  • High level of debug skills.
  • Good electronic circuitry knowledge required.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, motivated individual with willingness to learn.
  • A hard, diligent worker who can combine high quality work with high productivity.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with others required.
  • A good team member who can work as an individual or as part of a team.
