Boston Scientific in Clonmel is seeking a highly motivated Graduate Electronic Engineer on a defined-term basis to join our team. You will learn from experienced colleagues, contribute to innovative medical technologies and gain hands‑on experience in a collaborative environment.

The role involves supporting design, development and testing of electronic circuits, working with embedded software and participating in quality processes to ensure device safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Honours Bachelor Degree (Level 8) in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Graduated within the past two years or currently in final year of study.
• Relevant work experience or completion of a co‑op program.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with collaborative mindset.
• Interest in medical technology, manufacturing and product development.

Responsibilities

• Build quality into all work by complying with medical device design controls and development processes.
• Support design, development and testing of electrical circuits and subsystems for active implantable medical devices.
• Assist with schematic capture, circuit simulation, PCB development and component selection under guidance.
• Support hardware integration with embedded software and system‑level functions.
• Participate in electrical characterization, troubleshooting and performance evaluation with lab equipment.
• Assist with verification testing, document methods, observations and outcomes clearly.
• Support risk management activities and implement design mitigations with project team guidance.
• Generate and maintain engineering documentation per Quality Management System and participate in design reviews.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory teams while developing skills.
