Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of data science, analytics and AI solutions across sectors.
  • Apply statistics, analytical and programming techniques to collect, prepare, analyse and visualise data.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to understand stakeholder needs and deliver tools, dashboards and applications.
  • Explore and apply AI, machine learning and data technologies to improve efficiency and insights.
  • Contribute to learning and knowledge sharing through mentoring and project experience.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Graduate Data Scientist to join our Data Insights team. You will have the chance to work across a unique & wide-ranging portfolio of data projects. The role is focused on delivering data-driven solutions to both internal and external clients.

  • Support the development and delivery of data science, analytics and AI solutions that help clients solve complex challenges across the transport, energy, water and built environment sectors.
  • Apply statistical, analytical and programming techniques to collect, prepare, analyse and visualise data, identifying insights that support better decision-making.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to understand stakeholder needs, translate business challenges into data-driven solutions, and contribute to the development of practical tools, dashboards and applications.
  • Explore and apply emerging AI, machine learning and data technologies, helping Arup and its clients adopt innovative approaches that improve efficiency, enhance insights and deliver better outcomes.
  • Contribute to a collaborative learning environment by sharing knowledge, adopting best practices, and continuously developing technical and professional skills through training, mentoring and project experience.

  • No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
