Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd is seeking a Full-Time Cleaner to join our team in a pharmaceutical setting in Carrigtwohill, Cork. The role involves maintaining GMP-compliant cleanliness and supporting daily operations.

You will follow site procedures, handle cleaning equipment safely, complete logbooks, and work with the supervisor to schedule activities. The position requires a flexible, team-oriented approach and good health and safety awareness; shift pattern is 48 hours per week, Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Previous GMP experience is desirable.
• Experience using cleaning equipment is desirable.
• Basic health and safety knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively and adhere to all Site Specific and Apleona Procedures and instructions.
• Take responsibility for the safe use of all cleaning materials and equipment used in the course of your duties.
• Ensure cleaning activities are completed in a manner which will not compromise the health and safety of employees and visitors to the site.
• Complete all logbooks and documentation promptly as per site instructions and SOPs.
• In coordination with the cleaning supervisor, plan, schedule and execute cleaning activities in the relevant GMP or designated areas.
• Report fabric defects to the cleaning supervisor.
• Ensure all equipment is safe before use, and report any faults to the machinery and be aware of service requirements.
• Report health and safety-related issues to the supervisor with minimum delay.
• Remain security conscious and report any suspicious incidents or observations to the supervisor with minimum delay.
• Follow all gowning procedures as per site procedures and SOPs.
• Be familiar with RAMS, SPA and PPE requirements for specific tasks.
• Be able to provide excellent customer service skills, partnership approach, facilities expertise, professional demeanour, and effective solutions.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and GMP, and ensure compliance with the 5S during maintenance work.
• Maintain an internal ‘Best Practice’ regime and encourage continuous improvements.
• Carry out the daily checks on site as per client requirements.
• Assist subcontractors to allow them to carry out their tasks, for example, signing in, work permits and showing them the area.
• Ensure any training deemed necessary by your line manager is completed within the agreed timeframe.
• Must be willing to take on and familiarise with all relevant site systems as deemed necessary to complete the role.
• Take on ad hoc projects from time to time as deemed necessary by the Client and/or Team Lead
