Overview

Job Title: Global Operations Manager. Job Type: Permanent. Location: Co. Meath. Ref: S011828. RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client are seeking to speak with interested professionals for the role of Global Operations Manager for a successful Irish manufacturing organisation. The role will lead and optimise operations across sites in Ireland and the US with a view to growth into additional regions.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with experience in multinational operations, supply chain management and cross-cultural team leadership. Key focus of this position will be to ensure efficiency, effectiveness of products, driving strategic objectives and compliance in global standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global operational strategies to support business growth and efficiency.
  • Responsible for international supply chain, logistics, vendor management and distribution channels.
  • Standardise and streamline operational processes across international plants, ensuring consistency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop, monitor and analyse KPIs to drive performance improvements (OTD, MTF, Cost) across various plants.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, local regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Lead, manage, and develop diverse teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations with corporate objectives.
  • Implement and optimize global systems (ERP, CRM, automation tools) for operational excellence.
  • Manage early life support teams to maximise customer experience with product launch.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred, in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, with significant international exposure.
  • Proven track record in managing global supply chains, logistics and multi-country operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-cultural teams.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and operational management software.
  • Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in emerging markets and navigating complex regulatory environments is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-changing global business conditions.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
