Job summary

Applegreen seeks a Mobile App Delivery & Platform Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of a new mobile app for global customers. The role partners with Commercial/Marketing to translate requirements into technical initiatives and manages delivery through internal teams and external partners.

In time, the candidate will oversee ongoing performance, support and optimisation of the app ecosystem, including vendor relationships and release cycles, contributing to the Digital Technology Centre

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technology project management or similar roles.
• Experience delivering and managing mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
• Strong understanding of mobile app architectures, frameworks and delivery ecosystems.
• Experience working with APIs, system integrations and backend services.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technology solution for the mobile app, ensuring design, scalability and alignment to requirements.
• Work with Product Owners and Marketing to translate requirements into deliverable tech solutions.
• Evaluate mobile technologies, platforms and tools for scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to align with standards and direction.
• Manage third-party vendors and platform providers to ensure quality of delivery.
• Oversee integration of the mobile app with backend systems (payments, CRM, APIs).
• Own the technical support model for the mobile app and coordinate across teams.
• Ensure robust testing, validation and release governance across platforms.
• Define metrics for performance, uptime, latency, and engagement.
