Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in Dublin is seeking a Platform Engineer who enjoys building Kubernetes-native systems and automation that operate reliably at global scale. You will design controllers, APIs, and tooling to support provisioning, upgrades, and lifecycle management across hybrid cloud environments.

You will collaborate with platform and service teams to improve reliability and observability, and contribute to distributed systems engineering that powers the PlayStation cloud

Qualifications

Solid Kubernetes knowledge across cloud and on‑prem environments.
Go or modern language experience; interest in Go development.
Experience building software for Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities

Design and develop Kubernetes controllers and operators to automate platform services lifecycles.
Contribute to global workload placement and intelligent scheduling across clusters.
Develop Kubernetes APIs/CRDs with clean, maintainable interfaces.
