Job summary

Dublin Business School (DBS) seeks a strategic Head of Centre (Psychology) to lead a defined academic Centre spanning multiple programmes and subject areas. You will build and grow international partnerships, oversee Programme Directors, and contribute to School strategy within the Academic Affairs division.

The role requires senior leadership experience in higher education, strong PSRB knowledge, and a track record of delivering high-quality programmes with external engagement and governance

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple programmes within higher education.
• Strong understanding of PSRB regulatory requirements and their implications for programme design and accreditation.
• Ability to interpret data and insights to drive improvement across programmes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to support and challenge colleagues constructively.
• Experience building external and international partnerships and overseeing partnerships strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Centre and ensure coherence across its programmes, pathways, and levels.
• Line-manage the Programme Directors and drive programme performance.
• Develop and manage international partnerships and overseas provision.
• Oversee governance, validation, and accreditation relationships in partnership with the Dean/ Vice Dean.
• Drive growth, portfolio development, and external profile of the Centre.
