Job summary

Arup is seeking a geospatial-focused graduate for a work placement to capture, process, analyse, and visualise data using a range of geospatial technologies.

You will run automated systems, deliver maps and workflows, and create innovative geospatial solutions for internal and external clients while collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Be currently undertaking a graduate level qualification in GIS, Remote Sensing, or another ICT/geospatial technology related field.
• Experience using ArcGIS Pro and Desktop extensions (Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst).
• Experience using spatial ETL applications, specifically FME, for data conversions.
• Experience preparing map documents.
• Data management and standards knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with a range of Geospatial technologies to capture, process, analyse, and visualise data.
• Run automated systems and processes.
• Deliver Geospatial project tasks on time e.g., pdf maps, webmaps, methodologies/workflows, data management solutions.
• Deliver dynamic, innovative solutions to internal and external clients by thinking both logically and creatively e.g., dashboards, Storymaps, interactive webmaps/apps.
• Work with staff from other disciplines and demonstrate the value of good Geospatial standards and practices.
